About the Role:
Our client is a highly successful Italian business that has been operating for over 30 years and has recently expanded into the Australian market. With 14 branches worldwide, they are internationally recognised for their innovative automation solutions servicing residential, commercial and industrial applications.
As part of their continued growth in Australia, they are seeking a proactive and technically minded Technical Support & Training Technician to join their Sydney team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this is an in-house position, that will play a critical role in supporting customers, delivering product training, troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to the development of technical resources.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electrical, mechanical or electronics experience who enjoys problem solving, customer interaction and sharing technical knowledge with others.

Duties:
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, video conferencing, email and face-to-face interactions
- Diagnose and troubleshoot product issues by testing equipment and replicating faults
- Liaise with the overseas technical team to identify and implement solutions
- Deliver technical training to customers both onsite (occasionally) and at the Sydney office
- Provide product training and support to internal staff members
- Develop technical documentation including user guides, wiring diagrams, cheat sheets and training materials
- Create and maintain technical training videos and support resources
- Manage product repairs and warranty assessments
- Monitor and report on technical projects, goals and outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through exceptional service and support
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a technical support, service technician or similar role
- Mechanical, electrical or electronics experience highly desirable
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to a wide range of audiences
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- A proactive and solution-focused approach
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver’s licence

- Must be currently living in Australia with unrestricted working rights
