We’re partnering with a leading Australian cyber security consultancy to find a Senior Security Consultant who can step into a high-impact, client-facing role, driving data security initiatives and shaping enterprise-grade solutions.
The Opportunity
This is more than just a technical role, it’s a chance to lead, influence, and build within a high-performing security practice.
You’ll work across a variety of engagements, primarily focused on data security, data protection, and privacy, while collaborating with GRC and broader cyber teams. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring others, contributing to strategy, and helping grow the practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver end-to-end security consulting engagements
- Design and implement enterprise-level data security solutions
- Provide strategic advice to clients and internal stakeholders
- Mentor and uplift junior consultants within the team
- Contribute to pre-sales, solution design, and client presentations
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and vendor roadmaps
- Drive continuous improvement across methodologies and service offerings
What You Bring
- 5-10+ years’ experience in Cyber Security Consulting
- Strong understanding of data security frameworks & DLP solutions
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft 365 Security Stack
- Microsoft Purview (DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk)
- Solid knowledge of:
- Cloud & SaaS architectures
- Email security & data flows
- Security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, ISM, PCI-DSS)
- Ability to bridge strategy and technical delivery
- Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing environments
Bonus points for experience with tools like Forcepoint, Netskope, Proofpoint, Mimecast, BigID, or similar.
