About the Role
Our client is a 100% Australian owned family company who has been in operation for over 50 years. The core business of the company is manufacturing and importing automotive accessories and car seat covers in particular.  The secret to their success, is their ability to supply their customers with tailor made car seat covers that fit any vehicle perfectly, instead of the standard universal cover that caters as a one size fits all,

As part of the company’s growth strategy, they are now expanding into the Fleet Industry, which is an exciting new market for the business.  A newly created opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic, motivated B2B Salesperson who can take ownership of this area of the business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the customer base, maintaining client relationships, and promoting their brand.

This role will be 70% in the office and 30% on the road, where you will be following up on new and existing leads and making contact with key stakeholders within the automotive fleet industry. You will be completing “fact finding” calls, sending samples to prospective clients, updating details on the database and identifying key stakeholders, to ascertain if there is a synergy between the two businesses. 

It is envisaged you will be someone who thrives on building and maintaining connections with key stakeholders and has experience working in roles where the lead to conversion cycle can be lengthy but rewarding.

Duties:

  • Identify, target, and engage with fleet managers, truck dealerships, car dealerships, and commercial vehicle fit-out businesses to promote the range of seat covers and accessories
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Understand client needs and tailor seat cover solutions to meet their requirements
  • Prepare and submit sales proposals, quotes, and other necessary documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions with clients and sales activities
  • Create presentations, sales reports, and proposals
  • Maintain the CRM system to track leads, customers, and interactions
  • Utilise social media platforms, to build awareness and promote the company’s products
  • Create and post content to engage with potential clients and establish the brand as an industry leader
  • Manage the distribution of seat covers and accessory samples to potential client
  • Coordinate sample requests and follow up to ensure client satisfaction and interest

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in B2B sales
  • A knowledge or passion for the automotive, accessories, parts sector or similar
  • Comfortable to complete cold sales calls and manage the sales call cycle
  • Intermediate computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in maintaining a CRM system.
  • Social media marketing experience, includig LinkedIn
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A genuine desire to grow and develop your career
  • MUST be living in Sydney and have full Australian Working Rights
