About the Role:

They are now seeking a talented and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsperson, who has experience working with aluminium and steel fabrication and structural design projects. You will be communicating with the design and production teams, regarding building design structures and making recommendations and drawing adjustments to suit each project. To be successful, you will need to have a passion for understanding how things are built and be able to produce design drawings from concept visualisation to fabrication.
This is a flexible part time opportunity, working 25 to 30 hours per week, with the flexibility to work 5 part time days, or 4 full time days.

Duties:
- Model and draft Small Works and Large Works architectural design drawings.
- Produce bill of materials to accompany each set of drawings produced.
- Model & render conceptual design drawings.
- Quality control of all artwork to match quotes to ensure proper transition to production.
- Quality Control, ensuring effective file management and revision control.
- Undertake effective scheduling, planning & reporting on past, current, and future workloads.
- Support the development, implementation, improvement and maintenance of drafting standards & processes, hardware, and software.
- Interpret relevant Australian Standards, the Australian National Construction Code, industry and association guidelines to ensure designs and drawings are compliant.
- Contribute to Company Standard Drawings, helping to standardise designs, specifications and methodologies across all products and services.
Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience Drafting, scheduling and producing drawings using AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Sketch Up, Tekla, Inventor or similar software
- High level Numeracy, literacy and reading competency skills
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret artwork and technical drawings (Blueprints/CAD).
- Attention to detail, accuracy and meticulous in all areas.
- Mechanically minded with practical experience with aluminium and steel fabrication.
- Self-motivated and dedicated worker who’s methodology is “maximum effort = maximum results”.
- Ability to communicate with both external and

- Creative – Can identify new opportunities that haven’t been realized before.
- MUST be living in Australia and have full working rights
