The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our client’s site, ensuring that business processes are both efficient and effective, in alignment with the strategic goals. This role reports directly to the Store Manager, and will require leading a large team of approximately 45 staff members across both the showroom and warehouse. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of teamwork, and empower employees to deliver excellent customer service.

Established over 50 years ago, our client is a leading supplier of high-quality bathroom, kitchen, and plumbing products in Sydney. With multiple showroom locations, they offer a carefully selected range of premium local and international brands, serving both residential and commercial customers.

Duties:

  • Lead daily operations across departments.
  • Engage with customers for exceptional service.
  • Address customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify improvement areas.
  • Manage budgets and cost-control initiatives.
  • Recruit, train, and develop operations staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Motivation and positive attitude are key factors.
  • Experience in an operations management role is essential.
  • Ability to manage and inspire a large team effectively.
  • Experience in customer-focused roles is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid clean car license for possible delivery needs.
