They are now seeking a Business Development Manager to grow their NSW presence, with a strong focus on new accounts and early engagement in project opportunities.
About the Role
As the NSW Business Development Manager, you’ll focus on identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships, and positioning our client as the preferred lighting partner for contractors and consultants. You’ll engage early in the project lifecycle, understand client needs, and work closely with internal teams to deliver practical, high‑performing lighting solutions.
This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role supported by an experienced design, estimating, and project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Drive new business across Health, Education, Commercial, and Government projects
- Build strong relationships with electrical contractors and consultants
- Engage early to influence lighting design and specifications
- Maintain a well‑qualified, active sales pipeline
Account Management
- Grow and manage a portfolio of key accounts
- Stay in regular contact and identify upcoming project needs
- Lead the sales process as the primary client contact
- Ensure smooth handover to design, estimating, and delivery teams
Client Experience
- Deliver a responsive, professional, solutions‑focused experience
- Understand client priorities and project challenges
- Resolve issues quickly and maintain trust‑based relationships
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with design, estimating, and project teams
- Share market insights and client feedback
- Support continuous improvement of sales processes
Accountability
- Keep CRM and pipeline data accurate and up to date
- Follow through on commitments
- Own your results and drive continuous improvement
About You
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- Experience in business development or B2B sales (lighting, electrical, construction, or technical products ideal)
- Confidence selling into project‑based environments
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
