As a vital part of our client’s business, you will manage various administrative, bookkeeping, and customer service responsibilities. We need an Allrounder with strong bookkeeping skills. You will report directly to the Business owner and collaborate closely with a small yet dynamic team.
 
Your role will focus on supporting the financial and operational functions, ensuring that our services to both Optometrists and Ophthalmologists are delivered without compromise.

Location: Morningside, Brisbane
 
Duties:

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes
  • Handle invoices and accounts receivable/payable
  • Conduct bank reconciliations effectively
  • Oversee payroll and relevant compliance tasks
  • Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS with ATO compliance
  • Perform general office duties and answer calls professionally
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and external accountants
  • Provide excellent customer service and sales support
  • Support executive administration tasks such as scheduling
  • Assist management with event planning and coordination
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as assigned by business leaders
  • Implement administrative improvements for operational efficiency

 Skills and Experience:

  • Bookkeeping diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency with XERO and CRM software
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • High computer literacy across MS Office Suite
  • Experience in supporting senior leadership roles
  • Ability to work proactively and adaptively in a team environment
  • Fluency in French or Italian is a highly regarded bonus
