As a Geotechnical & Survey Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client’s growing business based in North Melbourne. In this independent position, you will work predominantly in the field conducting geotechnical investigations and surveys. high-quality geotechnical reports and survey plans for various projects.

Duties:
- Conduct geotechnical fieldwork including drilling and sampling.
- Perform soil logging and field testing.
- Conduct site inspections to assess site conditions.
- Operate and maintain geotechnical/survey equipment.
- Provide onsite technical support to the office staff.
- Prepare accurate geotechnical reports and survey plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety and OHS regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to improve operational efficiencies.
Skills and Experience:
- Civil engineering, surveying, or geotechnical geology qualifications preferred.
- Strong understanding of Melbourne soils and site classifications.
- Basic surveying fieldwork experience is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent attention to detail to produce high-quality work.
- White/Red Card holder with relevant OHS certification.
- Australian driver’s license to operate a manual vehicle.
- Hands-on experience operating field equipment and drilling rigs.
