About the Role
My client is a highly regarded financial advisory firm. The firm specialises in accounting, taxation, financial services and advisory and provides a very high level of service to its clients.
We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic Junior accountant with at least 12 months of experience within the accounting firm.

Duties:
Some of the key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the team to prepare financial statements and Tax Returns for various entities, including companies, partnerships, trusts, and superannuation funds.
- Assisting in the preparation and lodgment of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), FBT and other Compliance matters.
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Register.
- Maintain and Review client records as Bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, payroll using MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks and BGL.
- Contributing to budget creation and management reporting for clients.
- Onboarding New Clients on various platforms such as MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks.
- Client correspondence
- General administrative duties and Liaising with the ATO.
Skills and Experience:
- You’re meticulous, motivated, and eager to take on new challenges.
- You thrive in collaborative settings but also work well independently.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting firm.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills that make you stand out.
- Experience with platforms like Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and BGL is a plus.
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Economics or a similar discipline with a major in accounting.
