About the Role:

An opportunity is now available for a skilled Mechanical Draftsperson, who is experienced in AUTOCAD and Inventor. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will liaise with clients to gather technical information, design innovative solutions and liaise with all stakeholders through the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning phases.
Joining a strong and dedicated team, you will be a keen, motivated person who has experience in the manufacturing and/or steel fabrication industry and is skilled in integrating factory workflows and processes into high quality outputs. You’ll also need to have an eye for detail with a strong focus on quality outputs and enjoy working in a flexible and dynamic team environment.

Duties:
- Design and produce detailed shop drawings & innovative solutions for specialised industrial machinery
- Liaise with all relevant parties through the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning phases
- Providing sound updates and improvements on designs
- Produce bill of materials and build specifications required for manufacturing
- Updating or creating content for technical documents such as user manuals, product datasheets, manufacturing processes, etc
Skills and Experience:
- Expertise with AutoCAD & Inventor essential
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, particularly machining and metal fabrication
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards for mechanical engineering drawings
- Ability to self-start, take ownership of assigned tasks and work autonomously
- Advanced computer skills – Excel, Word and knowledge of Autodesk.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- MUST have full Australian working rights
