About the Role:
Our client is a well-established and respected metal manufacturing business, providing precision fabrication, laser cutting and custom manufacturing solutions to a diverse range of industries. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and exceptional customer service, they continue to experience steady growth and are now seeking an additional team member to join their office-based operations team.

This is a diverse and hands-on role that combines customer service, estimating and project coordination. Working closely with customers and the production team, you will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing quotations, processing orders and ensuring projects move smoothly from enquiry through to production.

This role would suit someone with a background in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, metal manufacturing, trade estimating or a technically focused customer service position who is looking to move into a stable office-based role.

Duties

  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and in person
  • Review technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements
  • Prepare accurate quotations and estimates for manufacturing projects
  • Process customer orders and coordinate job requirements with production teams
  • Liaise with customers regarding pricing, lead times and project updates
  • Provide technical advice and practical solutions to customer enquiries
  • Maintain accurate records within the company’s systems
  • Assist with scheduling, order tracking and project administration
  • Build strong relationships with both new and existing customers
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the entire process

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, metal manufacturing, engineering, trade estimating or a similar technical industry preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when preparing quotations
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and business software systems
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional presentation and a positive, team-focused attitude
  • Ability to problem solve and think logically when assessing customer requirements
