Internal B2B role for a sales superstar! Opportunity to make your mark & establish your own portfolio, whilst also Account Managing existing clients.

  • Great hours! Mon to Fri 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

About the role; 
This 100% Australian owned family business have been providing high-quality PPE, uniforms, and workplace safety equipment to business across Australia & NZ for 15 years.  With a wide variety of quality products, they can provide customers with expert knowledge and competitive pricing.

A newly created opportunity is now available for a seasoned Salesperson, who has the ability to build strong relationships, isn’t shy about picking up the phone and calling both warm and cold leads, and who is passionate about safety and being able to provide the right products for the right purpose.  To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly motivated, be skilled in “Solution Based Selling” able to provide demonstrated results of your sales success in a similar role.  Industry knowledge in either Safety Equipment, Construction, Mining, Manufacturing or similar, where you have had exposure to these products and be familiar with the required sales and procurement processes in this industry, is highly desirable. 

In return you will receive a competitive base salary & the opportunity to earn more through uncapped commissions.  The opportunity to build up your own portfolio and progress your career into an on the road BDM role, will also be available for the right person.

  • Snapshot of Duties   
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to identify new business opportunities  
  • Identify business opportunities, handle new sales calls & develop a sales pipeline
  • Action customer requests and enquiries over the phone and via email
  • Make outbound calls to actively seek out new sales opportunities
  • Follow up client quotations and repeat orders requirements
  • Review customer service retention reports & contact dormant accounts
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth  
  • Identify new market opportunities and monitor industry trend, competitors and product innovations  
  • Participate in training provided by suppliers and management to enhance your product knowledge  
  • Contribute to sales and marketing strategy and planning meetings
  • Provide problem solving and “solution sales” to customers
  • Manage relationships with an existing network of customers
  • General customer service support and admin tasks  
  • Be prepared to assist management and others if required

Skills and Experience:

  • Internal sales/account management experience, ideally the Safety Equipment/Workwear or related industry
  • Strong B2B sales skills, with the ability to build & foster long-term relationships
  • A proven track record in meeting and exceeding company targets & KPI’s
  • Pride yourself on having the highest level of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of Computer literacy including MS Office & internal CRM systems
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic “can-do” attitude
  • You’re solution focused, organised and proactive  
  • Nothing is too much trouble for you 
  • Professional manner and the ability to use your initiative
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills
  • This position is not suitable to candidates who do not have permanent AU working rights.
