About the Role;
Our client is a highly successful Italian business, who has been in operation for around 30 years and has now expanded into the Australian market. With 14 Branches around the World, they are renowned worldwide for their high-quality automations for the residential, commercial and industrial markets.
As a part of this expansion, they are now seeking a pro-active, results driven BDM for their Victorian market. As this is a new venture, you will be getting in on the ground level and assisting with set up of the new office, identifying new business opportunities and establishing relationships with existing distributors.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident, high-energy professional, who has a hunger for success and is not afraid to hunt for new leads and loves the thrill of a new sale as much as growing great client relationships. With the support of a Senior BDM and the MD, you will be tasked with increasing the companies market share across the Victorian region, through new business development, networking and attending industry events.

Duties:
- Identify and research potential business opportunities and new markets.
- Support the development and execution of business growth strategies.
- Meet with new and existing clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Assist in preparing business proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align efforts.
- Track and report key business development metrics.
- Attend networking events, industry conferences, and meetings as needed.
- Meet company sales targets and KPI’s.
Skills and Experience:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in B2B sales or business development
- A proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Have a “hunter” mentality and enjoy nurturing customer relationships
- Be able to plan and manage your own appointments and schedules
- Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Pro-active and self-motivated person who does not hesitate to roll up their sleeves when required
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Sound computer skills including MS Office and CRM systems
- Current drivers licence
- MUST be living in Australia and have permanent working rights
