About the Role:
Due to expansion and development, they are seeking a self- motivated experienced CNC Machinist to join their dynamic qualified team of machine specialist in their new purpose-built facility.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in an environment that has epoxy coated flooring, great lighting, new workstation and tool storage support by recently heavy investment into new tooling and precision measuring equipment.
The role will be responsible for programming and operating a combination of the latest Mazak E-500H Integrex multifunctional CNC machine, new Bar fed Okuma LB3000 CNC Lathe, along with their existing Okuma CNC Mill’s and Lathe combinations.

Duties:
- Equipment Set-up
- Drawing interpretation and equipment programming
- CNC Equipment Operation to drawing and specifications
- Use precision Measuring equipment to perform Quality checks
- Perform basic maintenance on plant and equipment
- Train and support others including apprentices
Skills and Experience:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical trade – Fitting/Machining
- Okuma and/or Mazak CNC machine operation
- Read and write Mazatrol and Okuma IGF or G-Code
- Sound knowledge on CNC Mill and Lather tools and operations
- Sound knowledge on thread cutting
- Tight tolerance manufacturing
- Experience in hydraulic cylinders (not essential)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Be able to work and contribute to a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Strong commitment to OHS&E in the workplace
- Forklift Licence (not essential, but preferable)
- MUST have full Australian Working Rights
