About the Role:
Our client is a successful family owned business, who has over four decades of experience in providing security fencing for commercial, industrial and public facilities. They have dealt with many satisfied customers during this time and attribute their success to outstanding customer service and the ability to provide effective quality solutions.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a self-motivated, hardworking, enthusiastic individual, who has a positive and friendly attitude, to be a part of the Workshop Team. Supporting the Warehouse Manager, you will be assisting with receipt and dispatch of goods, Mig welding of custom panels, updating plans and job specifications, deliveries of material to site and preparation of materials for clients/installers. This is a fast-paced role, requiring someone who is adaptable, has an outstanding work ethic, is reliable and has the ability to use their initiative.
Please note; This is a full time role and unfortunately not suitable to candidates who are on working holiday visa’s or are restricted with the hours they can work. Hours will be 7.30am to 4.30pm

Duties:
- Receipt and dispatch of goods and materials
- Ensure orders/materials are packed and ready for the client/installers, to enable completion of projects within required time frames.
- Collecting data and updating job specifications, plans, and site measurements as necessary
- Assist with manufacturing and basic welding as required (training will be provided if no previous welding experience)
- Co-ordinate material pickup and transportation to and from site
- Communicate with clients to keep them up to date on project progress & any changes
- Inspect completed job and follow through with any rectifications required
- Coordinate tasks to meet critical deadlines
- Undertake manual labour, including use of general hand & power tools
Skills and Experience:
- 1 to 2 years experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment
- A forklift license is essential for handling materials & equipment safely
- Experienced with hand & power tools
- MIG welding experience an advantage
- A basic understanding of workshop drawings and plans
- Professional, positive & friendly attitude towards all staff, contractors, and customers
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate job measurements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Takes pride in their appearance
- Excellent time-management and punctuality
- Ability to work within Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and policies.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality production standards
- Must be physically fit & able to lift heavier items
- Clean Drivers licence (preferably a manual) & own transport essential
- Construction White Card (or willing to attain)
- Computer proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- MUST be in Australia and have full working rights
