Our client is a wholly owned Australian business, who has been in operation for over 14 years. They’re success can be attributed to their passion for flooring and their adaptability to the ever growing market of flooring options, including timber, hybrid, laminate, vinyl, along with their floor care and colour coordinated accessories ranges.
A newly created opportunity is available for a keen enthusiastic person, who has a minimum of 12 months experience in a stores environment, to become a part of their NSW team. Responsibilities will include receiving and dispatching goods, strapping and wrapping goods, quality control of products and loading and unloading operations. We’re looking for someone who has a willing flexible attitude, a stable work history and the ability to work well in a team environment.
*A forklift ticket is desirable for this role, however the opportunity to be trained and upskilled in this area is on offer for the right candidate.

Duties:
- Receiving incoming goods and accepting or rejecting them in accordance with company procedures
- Preparing outbound goods and handing them over to delivery drivers, haulers or to end customers
- Performing goods loading/unloading operations with trucks, vans and containers
- Performing material handling tasks in warehouse using forklifts and jack pallets
- Preserve safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas and workstations neat
- Strapping and wrapping outbound goods
- Taking photos of inbound and outbound goods
- Complying with all work health & safety policies
Skills and Experience:
- Ideally a minimum of 12 months experience in a stores environment
- A current forklift license or the ability to obtain a licence
- Self-motivated and takes pride in their work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to follow and understand written instructions
- Physically fit & manual handling experience, with the ability to lift up to 20kgs
- Exceptional time management and an excellent attendance record
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Attention to detail and strong problem solving ability
- A safety conscious mindset and commitment to Health & Safety
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- MUST be in Australia and have full Australian Working Rights (not suitable to people with holiday work visas)
