About the Role
Our client is seeking a Global SOC Lead to support the Head of SOC in managing and optimising our 24/7 Security Operations Centre. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring seamless global SOC operations, effective incident response, and exceptional service delivery aligned with our strategic objectives.
As the deputy to the Head of SOC, you will combine technical expertise with operational leadership, guiding geographically dispersed teams, driving continuous improvement, and representing SOC capabilities in client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate global SOC operations, ensuring consistent coverage and performance.
- Act as SOC Manager in the Head of SOC’s absence, maintaining operational continuity.
- Oversee escalated security incidents, coordinating technical and business teams.
- Drive operational execution of monitoring, detection, incident response, and vulnerability management using MITRE ATT&CK.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, SOCI, and other frameworks.
- Mentor SOC staff, support performance reviews, and implement training plans.
- Participate in client briefings and translate technical outcomes into business insights.
- Contribute to SOC roadmap, KPIs, and service improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years in cybersecurity roles, including SOC leadership.
- Proven track record in incident handling, risk management, and global team coordination.
- Strong technical knowledge of SIEM/SOAR tools (Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike).
- Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, CISM, CEH).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
