About the Role;
Our client is a well-respected family owned business, who have been in operation for many years, with a specialisation in the Supermarket, Retail and FMCG sector. Their focus and commitment to providing excellent service has seen them grow to become one of Australia’s leading independent retail groups.
As a result of expansion, an exciting, challenging role is now available for a highly driven Territory Sales Manager, who will be responsible for developing and managing a network of retail customers throughout QLD, NSW and the ACT, including Regional Locations. This is a newly developed role, which will require you to be on the road 150 to 200 days of the year, identifying potential new business partners and servicing around 300 existing customers.
It is envisaged the successful person will need to be an entrepreneurial strategic thinker with strong sales acumen and excellent relationship management skills. You will have previous experience in a Territory Management role, ideally in the FMCG sector, where you have had complete autonomy in planning call cycles, identifying new leads and driving business growth. This role comes complete with all tools of the trade to make your role a success, including a Mercedes Benz Van, Stock, Phone, Lap Top, Fuel Card, with accommodation expenses covered.

Duties:
- Identify new business opportunities and support the needs of existing customers
- Conduct market analysis to determine opportunities in new locations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers addressing any enquiries and supporting their needs
- Conduct regular visits to dealer locations to ensure compliance and provide support
- Establish a call cycle and systems to ensure customers have ongoing stock availability
- Provide quotations and follow up to close sales
- Meet and exceed agreed KPI’s and Sales Targets
- Undertake high volume face to face business calls via appointments and cold calls
- Attend industry expos, conferences and trade shows
- Ensure availability and movement of in and outgoing stock is undertaken efficiently and effectively
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in a Territory Sales Management role
- Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Have a “hunter” mentality and enjoy nurturing customer relationships
- Strong ability to think strategically, be innovative and pivot according to new challenges
- Be able to plan and manage your own appointments and schedules
- Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Pro-active and self-motivated, who does not hesitate to roll up their sleeves when required
- Excellent work ethic, reliable, dedicated and trustworthy
- Sound computer skills including MS Office and CRM systems
- Clean Australian Drivers Licence
- MUST have full Australian working rights
